Camp Director - Rett ListerFormer Paladin guard Rett Lister joined the men’s basketball staff as assistant coach/director of operations in the summer of 2024.
“Rett Lister bleeds Furman purple,” said Paladin head coach Bob Richey. “I couldn’t be more excited to have him back as a part of our program. Rett’s experiences at Kent State have allowed him to develop as a coach and make him ready to come back to join our staff. He will have a huge impact on our day-to-day operation and will serve as an unbelievable mentor for our players.” A walk-on at Furman, Lister ranks among Furman’s all-time winningest players with 90 victories during his four-year career in the purple and white. He played in 33 games as a Paladin, including a career-high 13 games during the 2022-23 season as he helped Furman to a Southern Conference regular season title, the school’s first SoCon Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance since 1980, and the program’s first NCAA win since 1974 with a 68-67 upset of ACC champion Virginia.
